For the diptych, I wanted to play with the idea of having a bird's eye view shot of my shoes in different positions. I took the photos in the same general location, but the photo on the bottom is looking down on the place where I shot the photo on top. I also liked the idea of having my feet placed in a 'safe' position vs. having them placed close to an edge.
Triptych:
My idea for the triptych was to take three pictures of one object, and have the final result look almost as if the three photos are forming one. With this specific triptych, I took a shot of the top, middle and bottom of a plaque--I focused more on the idea of having the top, middle and bottom more than making the three pieces fit together perfectly, and I think it ending up looking really interesting.
