Photo Effects

Daguerreotype (an early photographic process with the image made on a light-sensitive silver-coated metallic plate.)
Both of these daguerrotypes were taken downtown--I particularly like the photo with the 'Portland' sign, because the sign has historical value, which as a result adds to the daguerreotype effect, and makes it more realistic.

Tilt-Shift (an image effect that simulates a 'miniature scene', or makes certain objects in an image look miniature.)
This photo was also taken downtown-the fact that it was taken from a bird's eye view makes it overall more effective. I particularly liked this photo because of the color of the trees (which was one of the final edits made). I think the darker green puts emphasis on the cars, and in general just makes this picture stand out.
